Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–8 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (412) 793-7775. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, frankstownwoodfiredpizza.com.

I had an extremely trying day at work and to top it off my car broke down at work. Feeling extremely defeated, on my way home my husband said let's stop here I seen an Italian guy with an apron on my way to to pick you up I know the food has to be good. So glad we stopped. Great customer service and even better food. Margarita pizza was the best I ever had, the flavors were so bright you could taste everything separately and together all at once; perfect pairing of flavors. The hot peppers and olives, I got them as a side but will get it on my pizza next time. I love spicy food so it was perfect πŸ‘Œ then the lasagna. Husband approved. And thats not the best part not only was the food amazing, the prices are so affordable for the quality. You can't beat it. Definitely worth a drive from New Kensington. You guys totally made my day so much better, just by have amazing food.

Frankstown Pizza is excellent. Especially like the Pizza Bianco, stuffed banana peppers, and the large variety of deli salads - marinated mushrooms, etc. Very good crust on the pizza. One size only. Very reasonable prices. All cash. Great service from a friendly staff. We tried for the first time a couple years ago and they are now in our regular rotation.

The best pizza I've had in the area. Properly cooked crust is hard to find and they did a great job with plenty of cheese and fresh toppings. Tiny place, with the only seating outdoors but we'll worth enjoying the hot food and cold Italian ices

Some of the best pizza I've had in the entire Pittsburgh area. Well worth the drive all the way from Pittsburgh. Frehs baked bread is also PHENOMENAL! and everyone that works here is so very kind. Cant recommend enough.

Until now I had 4 pizza shops I loved in Pittsburgh....after trying this one I now have 5!! We got a Bianco and a Margherita pizza and also a piece of Lasagna. Everything was very good and I'd even say it was excellent! I was surprised on the pricing because I was going from another photo of a menu on Google that apparently is old. I'm including a photo of a new one along with the food we got. We'll definitely be back to try more from this little gem in Penn Hills!!!
